Irish Museum of Modern Art appoints two key executives

IMMA unveils Lisa Fitzsimons as chief operating officer and Eleanor Paice as head of visitor experience and security

The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) has appointed Lisa Fitzsimons as chief operating officer and Eleanor Paice as head of visitor experience and security.

Annie Fletcher, IMMA director, said: " Lisa and Eleanor both bring exceptional leadership, expertise and a deep commitment to public engagement, and they will play a vital role in shaping IMMA’s next chapter.

“Their appointments strengthen our capacity to deliver that vision and deepen IMMA’s impact for audiences, artists and communities across Ireland and beyond.” 

 Lisa Fitzsimons has worked at executive level for the past 25 years. Since joining IMMA in 2023, she has held roles including acting head of audiences and development and strategy and sustainability lead, notably leading delivery of the museum's flagship Earth Rising festival.

Eleanor Paice has built a career leading visitor experience across some of the UK’s most prominent historic houses and visitor attractions. She has also served on the trustee boards of independent museums and as a governor at LVS Oxford, a specialist school for children and young people with autism, reflecting a longstanding commitment to governance, inclusion, and public service.

IMMA is home to the National Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art, started in 1990 and now numbering over 3,500 artworks by Irish and international artists.
