Jack Mulholland and Niall Miller have been appointed as trustees with CRY Ireland (Cardiac Risk in the Young), the all-island charity providing free emotional support services.

Jack Mulholland, a qualified solicitor, is currently group general counsel with Applegreen; he also worked and trained at A&L Goodbody. Niall Miller, a chartered accountant, is vice-president, commercial aviation with Minsheng Financial Leasing.

Kevin O’Dwyer, chair of CRY Ireland, said: “We are very pleased to appoint Jack and Niall as our new trustees. Their wealth of experience, insights and commitment to our cause are hugely valuable as we continue to grow our services to reach more families across the island of Ireland who need support.”

Jack has a close personal connection to the charity, having accessed CRY’s cardiac screening and genetic testing services at the Cardiac Risk in Young Persons (CRYP) screening centre at Tallaght University Hospital following a cardiac arrest in 2016 at age 25. Jack holds a Business and Law degree from UCD.

Niall Miller qualified at KPMG and went on to work in Grant Thornton for four years. He holds a Commerce degree from UCD and completed a master’s degree at UCD’s Michael Smurfit Business School.

CRY Ireland facilitates access to free screening; and supports research and awareness initiatives for people across Ireland affected by inherited cardiac conditions or the loss of a young person to sudden cardiac death.
