Nicola O’Brien named as the CEO of newly united support services Embrace Community Services and Sánas

Caring service providers Embrace Community Services and Sánas Ireland have joined forces, with Nicola O’Brien named as their CEO.

The two groups will maintain their individual identities, services and continued commitment to the people and families they support.

Residential care specialist Embrace supports individuals to live independently in safe, community-based environments, employing more than 200 people. Sánas delivers respite and tailored support services for children and young adults with intellectual disabilities.

Nicola said: “Embrace and Sánas have both built strong reputations for delivering exemplary person-centred, high-quality services. I look forward to working closely with the board and teams to support their continued growth.” 

A native of Co Louth, Nicola brings more than 20 years’ experience leading complex, multi-site organisations through periods of growth and change, notably building strong, accountable teams that deliver high-quality, sustainable services.

In her role as CEO, Nicola will lead both organisations in continuing to provide safe, person-centred supports, while further strengthening leadership capability and ensuring long-term sustainability as Embrace and Sánas continue to grow.
