Ronan Murray appointed managing partner of EY's Cork office
Ronan Murray succeeds John Higgins, who is retiring after more than 35 years with the firm.
EY Ireland has appointed Ronan Murray as managing partner of its Cork office.
He will succeed John Higgins, who is retiring after more than 35 years with the firm. Mr Murray is currently a corporate finance partner in EY focused on mergers and acquisitions.
Originally from Tralee, he is the current president of Cork Chamber of Commerce, an alumnus of University College Cork and a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
EY's practice in Cork, located on Lapp's Quay, employs more than 400 people, along with 24 partners.
“I am really proud to take on the incredible opportunity to lead EY’s Cork office, as we look to build on the transformational success of recent years and chart a course for the next phase of growth for the practice, our clients and our community," Mr Murray said, adding his focus would be on helping organisations achieve sustainable growth, digital transformation, and meeting ambitious decarbonisation and sustainability targets.
