Enterprise Ireland aiming to add to 10% growth in exports to China
Irish exports to China grew by 10% in 2011, according to Enterprise Ireland.
The State agency is aiming for a further 15% growth this year.
Enterprise Ireland made the announcement at the China Trade and Investment Forum in Dublin, which is being attended by the Chinese vice president Xi Jinping and the Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
More than 350 business delegates from Irish and Chinese firms are taking part in the event at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham.
The forum aims to showcase Ireland as a location for third-level education for Chinese students and as a source for dairy and meat products.
