ISEQ index down at close

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 31.81 points to 2,902.42, a drop of 1.08%.

Index heavyweighs on the slide included Elan Corp, down 29c or 5.46% to €5.04; Kingspan, falling 35c to €7.35; Aer Lingus, slipping 5c to €1.08; DCC, down 75c to €23.10; Ryanair, 12c off at €3.81; Kerry Group, down 49c to €26.02; FBD, 10c off at €6.51 and Paddy Power, shedding 33c to €29.82.

On the risers' board, CRH climbed 14c to €14.79 and Tullow Oil was up 7c to €16.52.
