The ISEQ index of Irish inched upwards in early trading this morning, rising 8.98 points to 2,722.69 by 11.30am, a gain of 0.33%.

The ISEQ index of Irish inched upwards in early trading this morning, rising 8.98 points to 2,722.69 by 11.30am, a gain of 0.33%.

Amid light trading volumes, index majors on the risers' board included Elan Corp, up 26c to €4.45, DCC, adding 16c to €20.75, and Glanbia, up 5c to €3.55.
