ISEQ marginally down

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 1.37 points to 2,668.33, a drop of 0.05%.

Among the fallers, Kerry Group closed down 15c to €24.60; DCC shed 8c to €19.06; Tullow Oil was also down 8c, to €14.55; Smurfit Kappa slipped 5c to €6.79; Elan Corp was down 4c to €3.50 and Glanbia was also 4c off, at €3.39.

Financial stocks were mixed, with AIB up 1c to €0.77 but Bank of Ireland slipping 1c to €0.74 and Irish Life & Permanent down 6c to €1.39.

On the risers' board, Kingspan added 9c to €5.31 and Aryzta was up 18c to €32.82.
