British Airways is to start four new services from Gatwick while axing three routes from the West Sussex airport.

British Airways is to start four new services from Gatwick while axing three routes from the West Sussex airport.

The first new service, beginning today, is to Newquay in Cornwall, while flights to Dresden and Sarajevo start on Sunday.

The fourth new route – to Port of Spain in Trinidad – starts on March 28 and is BA’s first new long-haul destination from Gatwick for six years.

Flights from Gatwick to Newcastle, to Hassi Messaoud in Algeria and to Riga in Latvia will be suspended from Sunday.
