SerCom creates 150 jobs in Limerick expansion
DCC subsidiary, SerCom, a provider of supply chain management and e-business services, is to create up to 150 new jobs as part of a £7m investment in a new facility in Raheen, Co. Limerick.
£4m will be spent on Phase I of the development, which will be completed in March 2002, with a further £3m being spent on Phase 2, which is due for completion in June, 2002.
SerCom currently employs 100 staff at its existing Limerick premises at Corcanree Business Park.
Established since 1978, SerCom Solutions delivers a range of service of services for software and hardware fulfilment.
The company has its headquarters in Dublin, with additional facilities in Limerick and Scotland.
The company currently employs over 500 people.
Customers include IBM, Dell, The Learning Company and others.
SerCom is a wholly owned subsidiary of Irish company DCC a value added marketing and distribution group.
In the year to March, 2001, DCC generated profits of £82.4m on revenues of £1.8bn.
