Analysts predict rise in DCC earnings

The Dublin-headquartered diversified support services business yesterday announced it is acquiring Welsh-based firm Williams Medical Holdings — in a cash deal, “based on an enterprise value of £45m”.

With operating profits of £6m, Williams is a market leader in the supply of medical and pharmaceutical products and related services to British-based GPs, and the transaction is being seen as part of DCC’s desired move into the lucrative UK primary healthcare market. DCC Vital supplies products to the secondary care (hospitals) market.
