Delay in post code implementation

CHAMBERS Ireland has called on the Government to deliver on its three-year-old commitment to introduce a post code system in Ireland.

Claire Cunningham, Chair of Chambers Ireland’s Digital Policy Council said that in 2005, the then Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, committed to introducing post codes by January 2008.

She added that while that date may now be unachievable, the Government must introduce the system as soon as possible.
