SLOWER energy price growth curbed eurozone inflation more than initially estimated in September, but the ECB still looks set to raise interest rates in December.

The European Union’s statistics office yesterday revised down its September inflation estimate for the 12 countries using the euro to an annual rise of 1.7%, from the earlier published 1.8%.

Month-on-month consumer prices, however, did not change.
