Record centre expands to meet file space demand
This latest move reflects continuing demand for its services in the Irish economy which continues to require additional filing space as the strong economy drives business growth.
Last night a spokeswoman for the company said: “The expansion is in response to increased demand for File Stores’s off-site document storage and management services and supports the company’s growth target of €20 million turnover before 2009.”
The 300,000 cubic foot extension of the File Stores facility includes the installation of a fireproof Firelock media storage vault, the first of its kind in Ireland and capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures. Used internationally by the US Airforce and Disney for secure storage, the vault is the highest-rated fire protection storage environment for computer media available in the industry.
The facility will be officially opened by Minister of State Tom Parlon tomorrow.
Making the announcement, Cecil Ryan, managing director of DMG Services, said: “We are very pleased to announce the expansion of our Park West facility, which is part of our ongoing commitment to continuous investment to ensure that our customers benefit from the best facilities and technology available in the market.
“We are determined that, through the use of the DMG range of services, client firms will not only reduce costs and improve business efficiency but will also ensure that they can demonstrate compliance with best international practice for hard and soft copy records storage and management.”
DMG Services has more than doubled in turnover to €12m in the past four years and has completed three acquisitions to broaden its service range and geographic coverage. Other companies within the group include Shred-it and Scan Image Services.
DMG Services employs 185 people and has four locations throughout Ireland and the North, including Dublin, Kilkenny, Gorey and Lisburn. The group’s customer base extends to over 2000 companies.
