Energia awarded national contract

INDEPENENT electricity provider Energia has been awarded a major contract to supply power to 101 Government offices nationwide.

The contract was awarded under a competitive tendering process by the Office of Public Works and is valued at about €6.1 million a year.

The offices include the Department of Social and Family Affairs, the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
