Equities outlook ‘looks good’

THE outlook for equities is positive for 2005, according to Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM), the bank’s troubled investment management business.

Chief investment officer Chris Reilly told life assurance and pensions brokers over the weekend that the strong performance of bonds last year meant there was little upside to investing in them this year, while property valuations now looked stretched after another bumper year.
