ESB director in row with chair resigns

JOE LA CUMBRE has resigned as a director and vice-chairman of the ESB.

Mr La Cumbre has been a worker director of the electricity company for the past 23 years and an ESB employee for 38 years.

Last year, Mr La Cumbre became embroiled in a boardroom row with the company’s chairman Tadhg O’Donoghue.
