Anti-racist campaigners publish list of claimed KKK supporters
Anti-racist campaigners have published a list of 1000 US citizens they claim are sympathisers or supporters of the Ku Klux Klan.
The group says the information was collected from Facebook profiles and public records by activists working under the 'Anonymous' banner.
The list was compiled and published as part of a campaign called “Hoods Off” which is described as a form of resistance against the violence and intimidation tactics leveraged against the public by members of the KKK throughout history.
The list was compiled following the fatal shooting of black teenager Michael Brown by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, 11 months ago.
The KKK used to be a powerful organisation with more than five million members 90 years ago. It no longer has anything close to this number.
