Jackson mattress at the centre of molestation case

A mattress seized from Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in a raid last year is set to become the major piece of evidence in the pop star's child molestation case as investigators conduct scientific tests on it.

Santa Barbara, California, authorities are hoping to prove that Jackson molested his young accuser on the mattress by conducting thorough DNA and fingerprint tests, according to American news show Celebrity Justice.

The programme's producer, Harvey Levin, insists tests, which started yesterday, could sway the case towards the prosecution.

He says: "There is evidence, that police seized, that they believe shows that Michael Jackson did bad things to this boy."

Levin claims he has been told that the authorities are planning to prove that Jackson showed his accuser pornographic material, which was also seized from his home.

He adds: "Multiple sources connected with the prosecution in this case tell us they believe that Michael Jackson seduced this boy, and aroused him by showing him pictures of naked women in magazines.

"If these magazines were seized at Neverland, in an area not accessible to the boy, and if this boy's fingerprints show up on the magazines, that could be powerful proof at trial."
