A British hospital surgeon has been accused of showing "serial incompetence" and a "deep rooted lack of insight into his own ability", a committee has heard.

Steven Walker, 44, a general surgeon at Blackpool Victoria Hospital was found to have inappropriately carried out operations on 10 women between December 1995 and March 1998.
