People in Afghanistan are fleeing the country in their thousands as America prepares to retaliate for Tuesday’s attacks on the US.

Prime suspect Osama bin Laden is based in Afghanistan and the ruling Taliban say they will continue to shelter him.

Reports from neighbouring Pakistan, say people in Afghanistan are becoming increasingly desperate and are leaving in droves, heading for the Kyber Pass and the border with Pakistan.
