Fletcher targets three from three

Darren Fletcher believes it is vital Manchester United win their remaining games if they are to close Chelsea out in the race for the Barclays Premier League title.

There is refound confidence in the camp following the dramatic derby victory against Manchester City, according to the Scotland midfielder.

United face Tottenham tomorrow at Old Trafford – their opponents have never won in the Premier League era at the ground – with matches against Sunderland (away) and Stoke (home) to follow.

Fletcher is delighted they have returned to form after a difficult spell, which means they are only one point adrift of Chelsea.

United exited the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich and lost to Chelsea and drew with Blackburn – results which seemed to give their London rivals the advantage in the title.

Now United will go back to the top if they beat Spurs as Carlo Ancelotti’s side are not in action until the following day against Stoke.
