Witness appeal after teenager forced into bin and rolled onto train tracks in 'appalling attack'
A public order incident at a Dublin train station saw a teenager forced into a bin and rolled onto the tracks.
A public order incident at a Dublin train station saw a teenager forced into a bin and rolled onto the tracks.
It happened at around 8pm on Sunday night at Harmonstown Dart Station.
The teenage boy managed to climb back onto the platform, while an oncoming Dart was able to stop in time and avoid hitting the bin.
The boy received treatment for his injuries at the scene.
Iarnród Éireann has described it as an appalling attack, which had the potential to be fatal, and is asking anyone with information to contact gardaí.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was at the Harmonstown Dart Station between 7.45pm and 9pm and who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
Anyone with camera footage is also asked to make that footage available.
