Park Ji-sung has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at Manchester United until 2012.

The midfielder’s agent did claim a deal with the South Korean had been done during the week.

Now United have officially confirmed the news that they will keep the 28-year-old, who arrived at Old Trafford from PSV Eindhoven for £2m in 2005.

“I am so pleased to have a new contract,” said Park.

“We have achieved great success over the last four years and won many trophies.”
