Lee leads the line for Boro

Dong-Gook Lee is the only available experienced striker in the Middlesbrough squad for tomorrow night’s Carling Cup third round tie at Tottenham.

Fellow strikers Tuncay and Mido picked up ankle and hamstring problems respectively against Sunderland on Saturday, while Jeremie Aladiere is still sidelined with a hamstring problem.

Boro manager Gareth Southgate has added young strikers Tom Craddock, 20, and 19-year-old Ben Hutchinson to his squad.

England defender Jonathan Woodgate is likely to be out with a groin niggle, Julio Arca is out for eight weeks with a knee injury, while new signing Gary O’Neil is cup-tied, so 19-year-old fellow midfielder Graeme Owens also travels.
