FA secretary's 'sex boasts'
A former secretary who claims she was sexually harassed by FA executive director David Davies sent a series of salacious emails detailing her affairs with other senior figures, a tribunal heard today.
Faria Alam, 39, who had flings with England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and ex-FA chief executive Mark Palios, has alleged that Mr Davies made āunwelcome advancesā towards her.
Miss Alam, who claims she was the victim of sexual discrimination, constructive dismissal, breach of contract and unequal pay, has also alleged that her bosses at the FA leaked information about her private life in an attempt to discredit her.
But an employment tribunal in central London was today told that the personal assistant fired off frequent messages from her work email address bragging about the affairs herself.
In one email the former model wrote: āHavenāt been naughty yet, but the guy I will see tomorrow night is the more famous one.
āLetās call him Sugar, heās very sweet and heās the coach.ā
In another message to a friend, who later sold emails on to a newspaper, Miss Alam said: āIām 36, unmarried and loving it. My social life is amazing and I date famous people.ā
Miss Alam also described sex with Mr Palios ā who she called PP or Pretty Polly ā and her relations with Mr Eriksson.
In one, she described the England manager as a āgenerous loverā and gave details his performance of a sex act, the hearing was told.
Jeffrey Bacon, for the FA, said that Miss Alam had sent a further string of emails to friends and family as the national football team played in the Euro 2004 tournament in Portugal.
He claimed that it was these emails which disclosed details of Miss Alamās sex life.
He said one spoke about the prospect of her affair with Mr Eriksson being uncovered.
Miss Alam, who wore a slim-fitting grey trouser suit to the hearing, wrote: āCould all be out in the open soon hon, ahh, Iām nervous.ā
In another email, Miss Alam wrote: āSugar is brilliant, Iāve even told your dad. I want to be happy and very, very rich and successful and I will be.
āIām not going to go through life settling for second best EVER.
āIf all goes well, I suppose Sugar will have to announce it to the papers.ā
Mr Davies, who issue a statement yesterday denying Miss Alamās claims, attended the hearing this morning, although he was not due to give evidence today.
