Djemba-Djemba likely to miss US trip

Manchester United midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba limped out of Cameroon’s World Cup win over the Ivory Coast yesterday and is now almost certain to miss the Red Devils’ three-match tour to the United States.

The combative former Nantes man, whose stop-start Old Trafford career has been hampered by a series of international calls, was unlikely to be in the party heading across the Atlantic anyway as Alex Ferguson previously indicated he wanted all his players to have at least a month off this summer.
