Yorke and Souness in training bust-up
Dwight Yorke’s future at Blackburn has been thrown into doubt after an apparent bust-up with manager Graeme Souness.
According to a report in the Daily Mirror, the pair clashed in training after Yorke attempted to tackle his manager during a six-a-side match.
Souness, who was renowned as a tough-tackling midfielder in his playing days, is said to have responded with a crunching tackle on Yorke, for whom he bought Manchester United in 2002.
It is reported an argument ensued, during which Souness accused the striker of being “a playboy”.
Yorke has struggled for form this season, with just six goals, and his place has come under threat from youngsters Paul Gallagher and Jon Stead, along with former United striker partner Andy Cole.
