Rooney to learn from team-mates and curb temper

WAYNE ROONEY has pledged to follow the lead of his Manchester United team-mates by learning to curb his temper and focus on winning titles.

The England striker turns 20 in November and said: “Moving to a club like Manchester United was always going to benefit me a lot, playing with the players I’m playing with and working with Sir Alex [Ferguson],” said Rooney.

During his first year at Old Trafford, Rooney was criticised by teaching chiefs for repeatedly swearing on the pitch, with the argument he was setting a bad example to youngsters.
