Southwell on snow alert as Lingfield goes ahead

Southwell will stage a 9am precautionary inspection ahead of this afternoon‘s meeting, while the all-weather meeting at Lingfield has survived a 6.30am precautionary inspection and goes ahead as scheduled.

Although the Southwell track is raceable – overnight temperatures dipped to minus 3C - there is a forecast for possible heavy snow this morning.

At Lingfield, the forecast snow failed to materialise, and the track is raceable.

There was also no overnight frost.
