Helvic Dream gives grieving Donagh Meyler poignant Listowel win

Emotions ran high at a packed, sun-kissed Listowel on Ladies’ Day at the harvest festival.

The feature, the listed Ballymore Handicap Hurdle, was won by the Noel Meade-trained Helvic Dream who was ridden to victory by Donagh Meyler just hours after the death of his grandmother.
