Denmark’s Thomas Bjorn stretched his lead to three shots in the opening six holes of the Commercialbank Qatar Masters final round in windy Doha today.

One ahead overnight, Bjorn reeled off a succession of par figures, and that was good enough with Austrian Markus Brier following a 30-foot birdie putt on the long first with bogeys at three of the next five.

Bjorn remained 11 under par, Brier was eight under and then came England’s David Howell and Spaniard Alvaro Quiros one further back.
