Padraig Harrington has said he will not return to competitive golf until next month.

The world number 17 hasn't played since the start of December and has confirmed that he will continue his seasonal break up to mid-February.

Meanwhile, Paul McGinley is to play more golf on the American PGA Tour this year.

The Dubliner currently lies fourth on the Ryder Cup points table, and is almost assured to be joining Darren Clarke and Padraig Harrington in the European team.
