Donald resists Irish challenge to win in California
England’s Luke Donald fired a final-round eight-under-par 64 to win the Target World Challenge in California.
Ireland’s Darren Clarke was two shots back in second after a closing 72.
Fellow Irishman Pádraig Harrington and New Zealander Michael Campbell finished tied for third, a further two shots adrift.
Scotland's Colin Montgomerie finished 14 shots off the lead in joint-14th, alongside tournament host Tiger Woods.
World number one Woods finished out of the top two in this event for the first time since 1999.
