Tiger Woods was almost certain to miss the cut when play was halted for the day late in the second round at the Funai Classic at Disney World.

Woods, who had two holes left, will have to finish birdie-birdie when the round resumes to stay alive.

Two bad holes took their toll on Woods on the Magnolia course, a triple-bogey at the par-four fifth and a double-bogey at the par-three 12th, the first time he has had a double and triple in the same round since the 2000 Masters.

In May, Woods missed the cut at the Byron Nelson Championship, ending a record streak of 142 consecutive events in the money on the PGA Tour.

Woods was among 53 players unable to complete the second round before a late afternoon thunderstorm.

Tom Pernice, who played in the morning, plundered the easy Palm course for a 10-under 62.

He posted a 15-under 129 halfway total to take the clubhouse lead, while Carl Pettersson was also 15 under after 15 holes when play was halted.

While Woods still has a faint chance of making the cut, Vijay Singh was certain to miss it after shooting 71 for four-under 140.
