Woosie hands Smyth Ryder role

Ian Woosnam today named Ireland’s Des Smyth and England’s Peter Baker as his two vice-captains for next year's Ryder Cup match at the K Club near Dublin.

And he has called on Sandy Lyle to be part of his team as well – the first time the former Open and Masters champion will have been involved in any capacity since he was a member of 1987 side.
