Teenage sensation Michelle Wie has accepted an invitation to play in this year’s Evian Masters from July 21-24.

The 14-year-old schoolgirl, who missed the cut by a shot in the Sony Hawaiian Open on the men’s PGA Tour earlier this month, will join defending champion Juli Inkster and world number one Annika Sorenstam in the field.

However, Wie will not be the youngest player to play on the Ladies European Tour, that honour being held by England’s Henrietta Brockway and Florentyna Parker, who played in two events last season aged 13.
