Rain delays Majorca Classic

The Turespana Majorca Classic was again delayed by bad weather this morning.

The Turespana Majorca Classic was again delayed by bad weather this morning.

Half of the 132-man field were unable to complete their second rounds on schedule yesterday due to a late-afternoon thunderstorm.

Further rain overnight and again today meant play was unable to restart on schedule at 8:45am local time.

With rain continuing to fall, tournament officials are set to make a decision on if and when play may be able to start at 10.45am local time.

Tournament favourite Lee Westwood is among those affected by the delays, the former European number one standing one over par with five holes of his second round to play.
