Random ballot to select Ryder Cup ticket holders
Registration for tickets can be implemented online at www.rydercup.com and entries will be accepted until August 15. Registration is free.
The PGA of America expects the demand for Ryder Cup tickets to far exceed their ability to accommodate all requests, therefore, a random ballot to determine ticket purchasers will be held on September 30.
Results will be announced on October 15.
The attendance will be limited to 38,000 per day, but unlike previous Ryder Cup matches, daily tickets will be available, which will allow more fans to experience the event.
A maximum of two weekly tickets, or, four daily tickets per person, may be purchased.
Applicants will be charged for Ryder Cup tickets on October 1, only if they are selected in the ballot. Payment will be accepted by MasterCard, Visa or American Express.
There are three ticket options:
1. International pavilion ticket ($425) allows access to all six days of Ryder Cup matches, the opening ceremonies and the international pavilion.
This exclusive facility will be located on the grounds of Oakland Hills Country Club.
There will be elaborate decor, big-screen televisions, upscale food and beverage, outdoor patio and a festive atmosphere unique to the climate-controlled Ryder Cup international pavilion.
2. Season ticket ($275) allows access to all six days of Ryder Cup matches and the opening ceremonies.
3. Daily ground tickets are available for Tuesday ($40), Wednesday ($40), Thursday ($75), Friday ($85), Saturday ($85) and Sunday ($100).
Official Ryder Cup travel packages, which include tickets to the matches and accommodation, are available through Ryder Cup Travel Services the official travel company of the European Ryder Cup team.
Europe will defend the trophy they won with a stunning 15½ -12½ victory over the US at The Belfry.
