The 2023 champions still have plenty of class in their ranks although it’s the Mid-Tipperary men who are fancied.

They have had some checkered times in recent seasons but Thurles, who have been without Ronan Maher up to now, can negotiate this challenge.

Only Inniskeen have troubled Castleblayney in finals. The result shouldn’t be as emphatic as last year but Truagh will likely be runners-up once more.

Nenagh can pack a punch but the strides Cashel have been making these last few seasons have been huge.

Holycross-Ballycahill remain the favourites to lift the Dan Breen Cup but this is an awkward quarter-final to negotiate.

Indifferent performances by both teams in the group stages and Lee Chin may be the difference between them.
