The counties have met 73 times in the championship with Cork taking 47 of those games, Limerick winning 21 and five draws. During the Allianz NHL the game ended all square 1-16 apiece in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Cork came out on top twice in last year's championship winning their Munster round robin and All-Ireland semi-final by two points. John Kiely, in his ninth season as Limerick manager, will be hoping to avenge those two losses when they meet in the Treaty on Sunday.
