Stand tickets for the Munster senior hurling championship will cost an extra €5 when they go on sale on Wednesday morning.
Admission for seven of the 10 round-robin games will be available to purchase on the official GAA website and via participating Centra and SuperValu outlets.
A stand ticket will cost €30, which equates to close to almost an 18% increase from last year. Terrace tickets are also set to rise from the 2023 price point of €20.
Due to expected high demand, there is no public sale for both opening fixtures on April 21, Clare v Limerick in Cusack Park and Waterford v Cork in Walsh Park, nor the Waterford-Tipperary game in Walsh Park on May 4.
Earlier this month, Munster GAA chief executive Kieran Leddy indicated prices for the matches would increase.
“We are looking at ticket prices as it’s really the only way we can generate revenue,” he said referring to several capital projects Munster GAA are committed to funding in the province.
“Kids will remain the same at €5 and 25% to 30% of our crowds are now made up of children.”

On Tuesday morning, Leinster GAA made available tickets for the opening two rounds of their senior hurling championship with stand prices also increasing from €20 in 2023 to €25. Tickets for the province’s three preliminary senior football championship games on Sunday week are priced the same.
Meanwhile, the GAA have made tickets to this weekend’s Allianz Football League divisional finals cheaper for members of the association. Members can purchase tickets for €5 less by logging into the GAA’s Foireann platform and onto their current season membership green chip to receive the discount code. They can also retrieve it from their confirmation emails at time of registration or via their club registrar/secretary.
By availing of the offer, GAA members can access the stands for Sunday’s Division 1 and 2 finals for €25, €5 less than the regular price. The €5 discount also applies to Hill 16 that day when normal access is €25.
Entry to Saturday’s Division 3 and 4 deciders is stand only and tickets are priced at €25, reduced to €20 for members taking up the Foireann offer.
A similar initiative has also been in place for Saturday week’s Division 1 final between Clare and Kilkenny in FBD Semple Stadium. A stand ticket for the game in Thurles is priced at €30 but available at €25 via Foireann.
