Motorsport: Gilmore reasserted his British F3 Scholarship
Matthew Gilmore reasserted his British F3 Scholarship Class ambitions with a win and fastest lap in the second double header race at Castle Combe. Once again, there was heartbreak for Cork’s, Michael Keohane, his race ended on the opening lap.
Just into the Esses he was hot on the tail of race leader, Ernani Judice who spun in front of the Irishman. Their cars touched with Keohane spinning off and his car stalling.
The incident sent Matthew Gilmore into a strong lead with Robbie Kerr some distance behind. Gilmore, without a victory since his double win in Silverstone, took the chequered flag in style with Kerr and Justin Sherwood claiming the remaining podium places.
Gilmore is now a point ahead of Kerr and 37 clear of Michael Keohane, who slips to third.
