Apologies to the good people of the Football Review Committee (FRC) but we’re not going to call them rule enhancements. Not yet anyway.

By all means when the distilled changes are passed into rule permanently in the latter part of this year and have been widely agreed to have improved the game we will call them so. But now it is just too early.
