The NBA has a unique problem, one which was highlighted this week as we begin to move inside ten days out from the new season.

Its global dominance is assured, its wide array of championship challenging teams offers it more than the average intrigue and, as I’ve noted here more than once, there is a nicely international flavour to the upper echelon stars setting the league alight.
