Recently, I made a shameful style mistake renovating my family bathroom. Attempting a mid-century post-modernist vibe aka Eileen Gray’s Villa E1027, I dished up a featureless, severe, handle-free, rain-grey space. It has everything in terms of stark, Teutonic practicality, but is a total fail in terms of decision-making. Bauhaus and blank — I hate it, and have decided to save myself with warming organics (wood and plants) to swim back to a relaxed Scandinavian room.
