Trish Dromey uncovers an exquisite cottage restoration in Co Clare that is now back on the market.

Thanks to the efforts of a couple of serial renovators from the US, this thatched cottage in Clare looks pretty enough for the cover of a chocolate box or a West of Ireland tourist brochure.

With its whitewashed walls, bright yellow door and neatly trimmed thatch, it is, according to Danielle Kavanagh of Sherry Fitzgerald McMahon, the type of rustic property everyone dreams of spending time in.
