I WAS horrified at the images of Iraqi prisoners of ‘war’ being tortured and humiliated by their so-called liberators.

Upwards of 40,000 Iraqis have been killed by coalition forces in this conflict, judging by emails I have received from Iraq, and their country has now been destroyed twice.

For nothing? No.

There are 15 new US airbases near completion around the oil fields in Iraq.

As Shannon airport has played a huge part in all this violence, Irish people should show their opposition to the visit of President Bush here in June.

Ships filled with food arrived in Dublin from Iraq during the Great Famine to feed the starving Irish.

They were turned away by the British and later docked in Dundalk. I think it is a favour worth repaying.
