I WISH to thank the organisers of the Tall Ships Race 2005 for a job brilliantly done.

We travelled to Waterford on July 8 and, even though there were huge crowds, the whole day was hassle-free due to the hard work of all involved.

The park-and-ride system was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the volunteers and gardaí were most helpful to everyone.
