Well organised

I WISH to thank the organisers of the Tall Ships Race 2005 for a job brilliantly done.

We travelled to Waterford on July 8 and, even though there were huge crowds, the whole day was hassle-free due to the hard work of all involved.

The park-and-ride system was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the volunteers and gardaí were most helpful to everyone.

On the Saturday morning, we headed for The Hook in Co Wexford to watch the ships make their way out to sea. Thousands more turned up to watch the spectacle, and again it was hassle free.

Congratulations to all involved for organising such a great event.
