IN THE face of chaos in the health service, the strategy becomes one of total denial.

More money is not the answer. Streamlining the bureaucracy is. Weed out those who use the system for financial and political gain. Sub-committees for any old reason must be stopped. In every hospital appoint financial managers. Have a yearly review of all hospital demi-gods.

Bring in the public to work with hospital management, implementing fresh innovative ideas. The taxpayer pays for this shambles. They ought to be able to dictate what direction it takes.
